Procreate Brushes: A Deep Dive into the Colored Pencil Set

A Closer Look At The Pencils:
1. Creamy Pencil:
Imagine the authentic feel of a real artist-grade colored pencil but in digital form. That's exactly what the creamy pencil offers. It's soft, creamy, and, dare I say, feels like butter on your screen. The texture? Oh, it’s as real as it gets. Every stroke provides a realistic colored pencil feel, and the pressure sensitivity? It's like drawing with an actual pencil.

This pencil is perfect for those highlights that make your illustrations pop. The best part? You don’t need separate layers or blending modes. Everything can happen on that one layer, especially handy when you’re working on a big file with limited layers.
4. Tilt Shader:
Remember those days when you'd tilt your actual pencil for shading? Relive that experience with the tilt shader. When you tilt your stylus, it gives you a darker shade of your chosen color. No need to swap between colors or brushes, making your artistic process so much more fluid.
Putting The Pencils To Work:
To truly understand the magic, let's delve into a real illustration. For instance, in my leaf design, I used the creamy pencil highlighter to layer shades. Just like on paper, the highlighter pencil lets me add layers with each becoming slightly lighter than the previous one. For shading, the darken pencil comes into play, and I don’t even need to switch colors! The tilt shader wraps it up, allowing for effortless shading, again without changing the original hue.
